Christmas Fair at The Mill, Coppermill Lane.

The Waltham Forest Arts Club will have a table at the Christmas Craft Fair at The Mill on Dec 9th with prints, cards, drawings, mosaics and other artwork.

Christmas Craft Fair at The Mill
Friday December 9th 2011
11:30am-5:30pm

We have paid £20 for a table and Sue Higgins has signed up to staff the table for the first half of the day. Anyone who wants to bring by small things that might sell at a table top sale would be welcome. We will need to split the costs of the table so the more that join the cheaper for all. Anyone that can staff the table for the last 3 hours would be great as well. Email: exhibitions@artsclub.org.uk and Julian will forward those to me.

It is a fundraiser for the Mill so the £20 goes to a good cause and we will be promoting the Club with some flyers to let the community know we exist.

The fair will also have jewellery, knitwear, accessories, photography, ceramics, crafts and cake!

A new resource for the Waltham Forest Arts Club.

The Waltham Forest Arts Club was set up in 2003 to provide an arts network and meeting point for creative practitioners across the borough. Members include painters, writers, filmmakers, photographers, musicians and craftspeople and monthly meetings are held in the Red Room at Ye Olde Rose and Crown in Hoe Street, Walthamstow.

The meetings address topics relevant to arts practice and development in the borough and provide an opportunity for artists to present and discuss new projects. Meetings also host lectures, discussions and short film screenings by both club members and invited guest speakers and there are regular open sessions at which artists are free to show and talk about their work.

The website (http://www.artsclub.org.uk) launched in 2006, serves as a notice board and networking resource as well as a web presence for artists. Members are encouraged to generate content so that the site can be regularly updated with news, exhibition and commission opportunities and requests for partners on collaborative projects. There are also links to other creative events and organisations in the borough.
